Melton Student’s Success at Equestrian Championships

Year 11 Melton Campus student Alice represented St Francis Catholic College at the PETstock Equestrian Victoria Interschool State Championships, riding Sir Kalahad at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre over four days during the term break.

The pair had an amazing time at the competition and pulled out their most successful dressage test, placing third in the 2-phase show jumping and eighth overall in a big competitive class.

Sir Kalahad is a relatively inexperienced horse, having recently left his racing career. This resulted in some interesting show jumping rounds, from which both horse and rider learned a lot.

Alice is looking forward to the future with Sir Kalahad as he starts his new career off the track.
