Our annual College Music and Awards Evening was held last Thursday to celebrate students in classroom and extra-curricular music across Melton and Cobblebank campuses.
The evening showcases and recognises our students' talents and acknowledges their hard work and dedication.
Students rose to the occasion, performing pieces ranging from classic rock n' roll to gospel hymns, ensuring there was something in the program for everyone.
This night allows our two campuses to come together as one school to witness and celebrate each others' successes.
It was the College Concert Band's debut music night performance, and it was evident that parents and friends were all very proud to watch their loved ones on stage for the first time.
At the end of the night, students were invited back on stage for the presentation of our music awards. These awards recognise the hard work, talent and dedication exhibited by students who go the extra mile.
Congratulations to all our performers and award winners this year. We can't wait to see the depth of talent grow for next year's concert.
Below is what some of our students had to say about the evening.
Music Night is an excellent opportunity for many students to show their talents. At first, I felt nervous about performing, but as soon as I started to play my instrument, all my nerves disappeared, and I realised how much I enjoyed music. There were so many talented people; I was blown away by all the performances. It seems like every year, Music Night gets better, and I can’t wait for what next year will hold. Isabella, Year 9
For this year's music night, I was one of the MCs and a performer. It was a really enjoyable night. It was definitely nerve-wracking at the beginning, especially with two roles, but also exciting, and the performances were invigorating. Looking forward to doing it again next year. Jordan, Year 11
