Weekly Reflection

A Prayer to Begin a New Term

We are created in the image and likeness of God.

Filled with the divine presence, may we always reflect the face of Christ to the world.

May our hidden selves grow strong in Christ.

May our lives be planted in love and built on love, so that every decision may be patterned on the mind of Christ.

May we grow in all ways into Christ.

May we see with the eyes of faith and reach out with the compassion of Christ to those who are troubled or in need.

May Christ live in our hearts through faith.

Out of his infinite glory, may he give you the power through his Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong, so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love, you will, with all the saints have strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth; until, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of God.

(Eph 3:14–19)
