The Medical Learning Support Officer plays a key role in supporting students with specific needs, helping them work towards independence in learning and living. This includes building rapport with students, assisting in the classroom, and collaborating with staff and Learning Diversity Leaders to implement personalised learning plans and best practices. The role involves monitoring students' social interactions, safety, and emotional well-being, while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. The Officer also supports co-curricular activities, participates in professional development, and assists with medical needs, including first aid, medication administration, and liaising with parents or emergency services. Additionally, the Officer is expected to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment and contribute to the overall well-being of students.
