Maltese Flavours for Food Studies Students | Melton Campus

Our Unit 1 Food Studies students welcomed former teacher Martin Attard to their classroom this week to cook some traditional Maltese dishes.

Students are currently identifying foods that can be traced back to early cultures.

They learned how to make Għaġin il-forn, a baked macaroni pasta and a variety of Maltese pastries from Imaqaret to traditional village biscuits.

They also tried Kinnie - a bittersweet orange-flavoured soft drink infused with the herbs and spices of the Mediterranean.
