Year 10 Students Dive into Trade Experiences at AGA Deer Park

Nine of our Year 10 students have had the opportunity to travel to the Australian Government Apprenticeships (AGA) training centre in Deer Park each Friday to participate in hands-on trade training experiences.

The students are exploring various trade fields and completing Certificate II units in courses including Building and Construction, Plumbing, Automotive, and Electrotechnology.

This immersive experience has provided invaluable opportunities for the students to gain practical skills that are transferable across various trades.

By sampling different industries, the students are not only learning technical skills but also gaining insight into potential career paths and what working in these industries might entail.

So far, the students have excelled in this dynamic environment and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This exposure to real-world trades has left them eager to continue exploring future career options.
