Recognising graduating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students

Year 12 student and Academic Captain Alannah represented the College last Friday evening at the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria’s Graduation Dinner for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) students in Catholic schools who will graduate from Year 12 in 2023.

This year 112 Year 12 ATSI students across Victoria will graduate: 51 from the Archdiocese of Melbourne, 21 from the Diocese of Ballarat, 19 from the Diocese of Sandhurst and 15 from the Diocese of Sale.

Our College has five ATSI Year 12 ATSI students graduating this year, representing 10 per cent of the Melbourne Archdiocese total.

It was wonderful to see Alannah receive her certificate in front of guests including her family. She proudly wore a possum skin cloak provided by the Catholic Education Commission for the occasion.
