Year 11 Visual Communication Design – Melton Campus

Our Year 11 Visual Communication Design students visited the Ian Potter Centre at the National Gallery of Victoria yesterday to bring their Unit 2 studies to life.

They explored how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and design are represented in contemporary works, and why it’s important for designers to showcase this knowledge respectfully and impactfully.

Students also had the opportunity to engage with Indigenous design that celebrates culture, identity, and storytelling. They saw how traditional symbols and techniques are reimagined across both historical and modern design
