Our Year 10E Melton Campus Hospitality students recently completed their first major catering task – an afternoon tea for our staff.
The students planned a menu for 150 people that required them to consider allergies and intolerances. Their preparations began in Term 3 with trials and label preparation.
At a staff meeting on 17 October, the students delivered beautifully presented and delicious sweet and savoury creations, including lemon slice and coconut chocolate truffles (regular and gluten-free), sausage rolls (regular and vegan), brownies, scones and melting moments.
The students were excited and thrilled with the feedback they received. Needless to say, our staff were pretty happy too!
